The plan, alive
between meetings.
Helm is a planning workbench for fee-only advisors serving high-earning households. Plans run on each household's current numbers, drift surfaces on a firm-wide health board, and you and your client look at the same dashboard, including the bitcoin, RSUs, and real estate that most planning software treats as an afterthought.
Built by Harry Beckwith at Hot Pixel Group in Phoenix, Arizona.
The workbench you wish you had.
Helm is built around the way modern households actually hold money, and the way you actually deliver advice.
Plans that stay current
Stop emailing PDFs that go stale the moment you hit send. Plans re-run on the household's current numbers, and drift flags show when reality moves away from the projection.
Health & Drift board
Every household you can see, scored by drift, connection health, idle cash, concentration, upcoming age milestones, and stale plans, with the highest-need clients at the top.
Tasks board
A firm-wide board with Open, In Progress, Blocked, and Done columns. Filter by priority or household, and pin a task to the client it belongs to.
Decision Center, not a calculator
Compare up to four scenarios side by side across all 9 engines. "Retire at 58 vs 62." "Roth conversion now vs over 5 years."
Present mode that actually presents
A full-screen, keyboard-driven slideshow built from the household's current plan. No screen-share gymnastics. No exporting to PowerPoint.
Client reports
Generate review packets for a household, print or save them as PDF, and set schedules so they go out on a regular cadence.
Every account your clients actually have
Brokerage, retirement, banking, real estate, bitcoin, RSU vesting schedules, and private-equity LP commitments, all first-class accounts.
A firm-wide AI switch
AI features that send household data to Helm's AI provider, Anthropic, can be turned off for the whole firm by its owner. Guided answers keep working because they never leave Helm.
Isolation in two layers
Every query is scoped to your firm in the application, and Postgres row-level security enforces the same boundary in the database. Roles for Owner, Advisor, Analyst, and Client.
Every surface a client meeting actually needs.
From client roster to presentation, designed for the way fee-only advisors actually work. Every screen below shows sample households, not real client data.
Compare scenarios that survive contact with reality.
Side-by-side comparison of up to four scenarios across all 9 planning engines. Probability of success, median ending wealth, lifetime tax: same row, different columns.
- Up to 4 scenarios compared in one view
- Monte Carlo, cash flow, tax, estate, Social Security, education, debt, insurance
- Saved plan versions you can compare later
The plan, with its work shown.
Versioned plans with diffs and re-runs on demand. Show the client what changed (the assumption, the engine, the result) without rebuilding from scratch.
- Plan versions with a diff between any two
- Re-run scenarios on current numbers
- Plan vs. reality: the projection overlaid on recorded balances
Stop screen-sharing a dashboard.
A full-screen, keyboard-driven slideshow built from the household's current plan. Put it on the conference-room screen from your advisor console, or have your client open the same presentation on their own iPad after signing in to Helm.
- Keyboard navigation (arrow keys, space, Esc)
- Net worth, allocation, goals & scenarios, built from the current plan
- No exports, no stale PDFs
at 62 with 94% confidence.
An audit log your compliance officer can actually use.
Every change across every household is recorded with who, what, and when, and the log exports. Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest. Firm boundaries are enforced twice: in the application and in the database.
- Every change logged with user, action, and timestamp
- Access per household, granted by the household or the firm owner and revocable at any time
- Audit log export for your compliance file
Where Helm is different.
Built like the bank you're competing with.
Helm is multi-tenant from day one: organization scoping in the application, row-level security in Postgres, an audit row for every change, and AES-256-GCM on sensitive fields.
Encrypted at rest
Sensitive client fields (bank-link tokens, the last four of an SSN, phone, address, and notes) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored, so a copied database is useless without the key. Helm's servers hold that key, so this is encryption at rest, not zero-knowledge.
Encrypted in transit
Every request between your browser and Helm rides over TLS, with HSTS so browsers refuse a plaintext connection.
Access granted per household
Firm owners see every household in the firm. Advisors and analysts see only the households they've been granted, by the owner or by the household's own invite, and analysts are read-only. A household's primary member can disconnect an advisor at any time.
Auditable on every change
Every change you or your client makes is logged with user, action, and timestamp. Your client sees the changes to their household in their own activity log.
Take your data with you
Clients can download their household from Helm at any time, so their financial history is never locked inside your firm.
Isolation in two layers
Every query is scoped to your organization in the application, and Postgres row-level security enforces the same boundary in the database, failing closed if the application ever forgets.
Priced per advisor. Clients counted by household.
A client is a household: partners and dependents in one household count once. Each plan includes a set number of households, and you can add more for $5 per household per month. Every new firm workspace starts with a 30-day trial on Starter limits, no card required.
Invited by a client? Accepting their invite is free during the beta and gives you access to that household.
- Up to 30 active client households
- Up to 2 staff seats (owner, advisors, analysts)
- All 9 planning engines
- Extra households at $5 per month each
- Read-only API keys
- Email support
- Up to 100 active client households
- 5 staff seats included, more available per advisor
- Everything in Starter
- Extra households at $5 per month each
Clients never use a seat, and prospects, dormant, and archived profiles don't count toward your households. Need more than 100 households? Talk to us about Enterprise.

How do we get started?
Request access by email and we'll help you set up your firm workspace. Every new firm starts with a 30-day trial on Starter limits, no card required.
What counts as a client?
A household. Partners and dependents in one household count once. Prospects and dormant or archived profiles do not count toward your plan.
What happens when we reach our household limit?
Adding another household is blocked until you add capacity: $5 per extra household per month, or a move to a larger plan.
How many people can use one plan?
A seat is a staff login: owner, advisor, or analyst. Starter includes up to 2 seats and Professional includes 5, with more available per advisor. Clients never use a seat.
What can each advisor see?
The firm owner sees every household. Advisors and analysts see only the households they've been granted, by the owner or by the household's own invite; analysts are read-only. A household's primary member can disconnect an advisor at any time.
Can our firm turn off AI features?
Yes. The firm owner can switch off AI features that send household data to Anthropic (AI conversation and plan summaries) in Firm settings. Guided answers keep working because they never leave Helm.
Is bank linking available for our clients?
Bank linking through Plaid is built in, but it may not be switched on during the beta. Clients can add balances by hand or import CSV files, and your firm can bulk-import client records.
